Featured Artist- Julie Martin

Julie Martin has been scrapping with me for several years. During that time she has created some wonderful scrapbook pages and projects. Featured below is one of the family albums she made for several family members. She made three in all and they were all different! She used a board book and added the old photos she had copied. The albums are very special to their recipients. When she visitied one of them recently, she noticed that it had been placed in a very special place in their home and was told they had shown it to everyone who came to visit. Just speaking of it brought tears to their eyes.( Please excuse the photos being cut off. When I copy from the other site, they are too big and I do not know how to fix this)

Each album had a gorgeous color scheme. This one was my favorite.

Notice how it had special openings and things tucked in!! These pages opened to
reveal more photos.

On this one she added library pockets with cards, Too cute!

Great job, Julie!! Also, Julie if one of my scrappers who will work on some scrapbooking at home.
Creating a special family heirloom is really what (I think) scrapbooking is all about. So dig out those old photos. If there are some faces you don't know, go find out who they are, before it is too late. I would love to help any of you create a special heirloom. Go over to Croppin' with Class to see more of her albums.

Judy's Pages today!!

Judy was the only scrapper to come this afternoon. She brought pictures from a trip she took with an Aunt who is now passed away. We used some chipboard letters for the title, scalloped papers for mats. and printed the journaling on a cute shaped paper.

Birthday Boy Turns Four!!

Brennen celebrated his fourth birthday at Purmp It Up on Saturday. It was a blast!! Lots of kiddos, fun and presents. If you have never been there it is a really fun place. Two huges rooms filled with those blow up things, but HUGE ones. It was really well organized and the staff there kept a close eye on the children.

Cousin Ellen, So cute!!

Charlie got some great pictures of the kids and the celebration!!

It did my heart good for. . . .

two scrapbookers to show up at my door this week. No classes were scheduled but Tuesday at 2:00 the doorbell rang and Lacey was there. She realized no one was here but I let her stay. I was in the back working on a project and she was all stressed out about transactions going on in the process of buying a house in Dallas. We both scrapped. I hope I helped to reduce her stress and we enjoyed just visiting. Then on Wednesday night while I was at the meeting in Brandon, I think Donna showed up for class. So I am glad y'all missed scrappin' this week!! We'll be back to it next week with class on Tuesday, Wednesday and ALL Day on Thursday!! There's still room if anyone wants to join us. Also, I have a drastic clearance going on in the dining room. Got to get that table cleaned off one of these days!!

This picture has nothing to do with this post, I just found it on the internet and I thought it was great! See y'all next week. Those of you having withdrawal please note there are opening in most classes.

Great Fourth of July !!

We slipped off to Destin for the weekend. The kids went and we had a great time. We didn't get to go out fishing because small craft warnings were up. We did fish from the shore at night. That was a hoot! Josh showed us how to fish from the beach with his dad's equipment. When Betsy sends me the pictures of what we caught, I will post them. This picture was made from the balcony. How about that zoom?!!
Below is the original picture. Notice the Coke can spoiling my picture?
I edited it out using The Print Shop, easy.

We had great fun in the water on the fourth and that night we went to eat at Fisherman's Wharf and then watched the fireworks from the docks. They were over the Pass with tons of boats everywhere!! Awesome.

Our latest Creations

Pam found a note she had written to the tooth fairy as a child. We scrapbooked it. Too cute!I had this tooth fairy bag on the dining room table. Who woulda thought we'd use it on a page?! Just shows you , you never know what will work out.
Here's the note. I hope you can read it. Sweet. Look at that cursive!
Pam also did the layout of her son's friends at graduation. It came out really neat.
