Happy 4th of July from St. Pete !!

Treasure Island
We are having a great time despite hurricane Alex. It has rained the whole time but we have found some great sites, great food and have enjoyed visiting with Betsy and Josh.  Above was a view from the pier at Treasure Island beach. Pretty spot.

These were some scrumptious cupcakes!!

Street festival with band playing Sweet Home Alabama!!

And of course, The local scrapbook Store. This was just around the corner from Betsy's. So far I have made two trips.( I think they are open Monday) It was an awesome store. We drove over to another area looking for another one, but they had closed early on Saturday.

We also enjoyed the Flamenco Dancers at a Spanish restaurant in Tampa last night. Pictures not too clear. Plan to watch fireworks tonight if it will clear up. This is a beautiful area and I know why they like it!

Crop 'til You Drop was Awesome !!

We had a great time at our All day Friday Crop!! First we had some delicious food. Chicken Salad, Cracker Salad, Cooked Squash and a fabulous homemade Blueberry Cake!! We are great cooks, as well as, great scrappers!! We are thinking of doing a cookbook of our fave scrappin recipes!!
Oh course, Helen was the most prolific scrapper! Completed and entire
album of her Caribbean Cruise, 10 pages!!

We took this opportunity to use lots of Pink, flowers and tons of glitter!! With two boys she has no tgotten to use too much pink, her fav color!!

Above, Judy's great layout of her family's annual visit to Canton Lights. She even found a journal entry her grand daughter had made about the event. Just love this.

Carol came and finished up the mini books for her grandson. It is a great idea. Pre reading skills. I am making on for Brennen, also. This is a great project for any grand parent!!
Some more of Helen's pages!! Cute!

Pam is working on making an apple shaped mini-book. She panted and prepped it and will come and finish it on Wednesday.Going to be cute.

Scrappy Photos June2010

We had a good trip to Natchez for the conference. It was a quick trip for Bob. We stopped off on Church Street in Port Gibson to make a photo of the church with the pointing gold had. It is really neat but difficult to get a good picture.

This is one of mom's roses. I think it is beautiful. Just love the color!!

I also just love Hydrangas. Mom's were pretty.
I think Bob killed mine when he washed down the house.

My Projects

Made this simple layout of Betsy's school pictures. Just love this Ladybug paper. It is symbolic because she played a ladybug in the school play "James and the Giant Peach."

Got back there today and made a board book, Mine is just 6 x 6 and the easiest to do.  I just love these SEI papers. I have enough if anyone wants to make one using these papers. I finished it off with the Bind-it-all and added ribbons. I just printed my pictures at home making them wallet size.
Remember the mini book class is Friday the 4th. I have three people signed up and room from 2 more. Remember you can make a blank book, which makes a great gift.

This is one AWESOME MOM !!

When we arrived on Friday, Mom was standing at the door. She was no longer using the walker because she suddenly realized that she was forgetting where she had left the thing!

This was her first time to walk outside since November. We were looking at the flowers that were  blooming. It is just amazing how quickly she has recovered from this awful accident.
We saw  Frank, the therapist, when we got there and she informed him that his next
project was to "get her driving!"

I have no doubt that she will be driving Very Soon!
She is one determined lady.

Happy Mother's Day to all you Mothers and pray
that we will have the strength to do what this Mom did....
