Lots of great pages!!

Our last scrappn' class for July was a great success. Evelyn made some great pages of her European trip.

These page elements were cut with the Cricut. Love the colors!

Pam scrapbooked her nephew's graduation invitation from Alabama!

This was his high school graduation. She and Gay had purchased school themed papers. You once were able to purchase this type product from our local scrapbook stores, but since there aren't any now,you can now order them online.

Pam's pages featuring many of Bill's achievements!

Ribbons from sports events. Cute idea!

Helen's pages are delightful! Die cuts add lots of interest.

Dragon Boat girls field trip.

Some more of Evelyn's trip pages. Love them!

Pam has many of Bill's keepsakes to scrap. Certificates, ribbons, newspaper articles. What a great album this will be!

Gay joined us and scrapped some old photos of her parents
All dressed up!

Another of Gay's pages. Die cut titles and border punched papers. Really cute!
We are about to begin a new month of scrappin'. I am using the Cricut much more to create some really cute page embellishments and titles. So watch for more, coming soon. Thanks for visiting.

I am also planning to add another scrap class in September. It will probably meet on Monday nights. If you are interested or know somone who might be interested,  please have them contact me.

Christmas with the Cricut

This is an adorable layout made with the Cricut. It is for when a child has their picture made with Santa. Cute.

These all came from a great blog dedicated to Christmas ideas with the Cricut. Several girls are doing it and each day has a different project: cards, home decor, layout and gift tags, wrap. Here are some of the projects. Sign up for their subscription and you will get updates. Also between now and Christmas they are giving away 22 Cricut Cartridges. If you leave a comment on each day you will be entered. Some have not even been released!! We could make some of these great projects if you won it!!

Some Cute Ideas I found

I have been checking a lot of blogs lately and have found some really cute thisngs. I love this School page. It uses the Cricut. I do not have this cartridge, it is Locker Talk.
May have to get it though! I found it and the card below here. Go check it out. She has soe really cute pages and cards.
This card was made with the Cricut, also. I think it is beautiful. It also uses the Cuttlebug embossing folders. I have the cartridges to cut this one.
Poke around and see what you can find. Hope ya'll are thinking scrapbooking because we will be at it again soon!! My wheels are still turning and I am looking for ideas to Scraplift!!

I've been Playing with the Cricut!!

I had several projects in mind today since I got a new cartridge this week. I got the Hello Kitty Font cartridge and I had downloaded a cutfile of this title below. It would make a really cute layout!

I cut the title with chipboard then with the glitter cardstock. I thought it would be difficult for it to cut, but it whizzed through, Perfect! The Friends title is also on chipboard, so cute!

This is another kitty I cut, Ballet Kitty! So cute, wouldn't she be great on dance pages!! She took a lot of patience and several cuts, but I love it!! Donna, you are the one who has patience to deal with all these little pieces, not me!!

I loved the chipboard flowers Helen put on her page the other night. I decided to cut some more with chipboard and the cut the papers. Cute for an Easter page!!

This is one of the borders close-up with buttons added and on top of matching paper!! Cute!

I also cut this Birthday Boy title for Lacey. Her little boy just had a Frog First Birthday Party. It matches that Frog Paper Donna brought me.

Some of you saw this flower mesh I had cut out. I put it on yellow cardstock and added some buttons. This would make a great layout for a 5 x 7 picture!!

As you can see, I had a fun afternoon and evening with the Cricut!! It is just amazing what it can do. If anyone would like to come play with me sometime and learn more about it just call and I'll let you know when I'm playing!!

Judy's Pages Today

Judy had shown me these adorable photos her husband had made of her daughter at the fair. I had been searching for just the right paper and found this vintage look paper in Destin.

I cut the postage stamp background for the right page and the titles on the cricut.

Look at these great photos. I just love Black and White photos. Try it sometime.
Take pictures in color and use our photo editing software to convert ot B & W.

School Days

We did not have a photo for every year. Thats's okay, just go with what you have.
Also, remember to check with relatives for missing pictures.
Again, Judy got a private lesson. Everyone get well, and we plan to have a Scrap Therapy Session next Tuesday, March 31st. We will have a new student, Lacy, who has an adorable little boy. She is planning to scrap as he grows. He just turned one!! Wow!! Wouldn't that be awesome to do it that way!!

Daisies and Brownies

I worked on this last night. I did not have many picture of Betsy's scouting. I know there is some video (would love to get some stills from those, if possible) I cut the titles from thin chipboard then papers. I tried to use the pens to outline them, but had difficulty. You have to draw with the pens, then put the blade back in and cut. I got an error and it didn't work. Got to get better with this technique because I love it. I got this stamp for journaling on my trip. Cute!

I Plead Insanity

I spent last night making this page. Betsy is still angry with me for cutting her hair when she was little. I was just digging through pictures and found actual photos of the haircut!! Then the photo of me with the wild hair!! Too much. I printed the journaling on a transparency so it would look like I printed it right on the page. I had trouble getting the "I plead" right. I tried several versions. Anyway, I love the postage background I cut from a file I got from Capadia Designs!!

New Toy

Betsy gave me a Hobby Lobby gift card for Christmas. I carefully researched and decided I wanted the Bind-it-All book binding machine. I also discovered there was a new improved pink version but HL did not have one , only the older model. I stopped and spoke with the girl I know who works in scrapbook section. She said she would order one for me. So, it worked out they had a 40% off coupon this week and when I stopped to get it she had saved it in the back for me!!
Now we can make some cute scrapbooks, journals and lots of fun things.
The binding is great for adding lots of ribbons!!

This is the book I cut the chipboard and paper with the Cricut.
Here's how the finished binding looks. I used the 1 inch. I was not sure exactly what size I needed. I think it will be okay to be able to add some embellishments and lots of ribbons.

Chipboard Album Cut on Cricut

I downloaded this cut file for the Cricut off the internet. I got it from a very talented person, Carla at Scrapped Lives. I cut all pages. Below pages cut from cardstock to wallpaper the pages. I may just ink some, but cut them anyway. The biggest thing is having a really sticky mat. The chipboard will cut if secured on the mat.

Julie's Award Winning Rodeo Page

Julie did a great job on this page. She caught the cowboys praying before they rode, thus the journaling" Mama's if you let your babies grow up to be cowboys Teach them to Pray."

We attached some ribbon that looked rustic and added lots of embellishents. Title was cut with Storybook cartridge. ***I just looked at this and realized we put an apostrophe where we did not need one. I wll reprint it. Duh!
